Darania was established in November 2021. From the very beginning, the management team was driven by the goal of helping young people enter the job market. Consequently, Darania launched operations in the cultural sector, providing staff outsourcing services to cultural institutions. The company’s founding premise and primary objective were to place young people in roles involving visitor services and exhibition support. However, the employees’ youth often meant a lack of experience and the specific customer-facing poise that institutions required. To address this, every employee hired by the company undergoes appropriate training and receives mentoring from an experienced individual before being assigned to their post. Through both training and the guidance of senior colleagues, the young employee gains experience and, in turn, eventually becomes a mentor to a new recruit.
In 2022, the Management Board decided to expand its operations to include socially excluded groups. Consequently, in November 2022, Paragraph 4a was added to the company’s notarial deed: “The objective of the Company’s activity is to conduct operations in the spheres of public benefit defined in the Act of 24 April 2003 on Public Benefit and Volunteer Work (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2022, item 1467).”
Darania currently places particular emphasis on two types of objectives, seeking to integrate them: activities aimed at enhancing the skills of current and future professionals in the culture and tourism sectors, and the education of cultural audiences alongside the professional and social reintegration of individuals at risk of social exclusion—specifically:
1) activities fostering the vocational and social reintegration of persons at risk of social exclusion through the implementation of training and skills-development programs designed to facilitate the entry of beneficiaries into the labor market;
2) supporting young people in their job search and retraining processes by monitoring employer needs and collaborating with employers to develop employment models, including in the culture and tourism sectors;
3) increasing employment opportunities (including self-employment) or improving employment conditions for young people;
4) enhancing the professional skills of individuals entering the labor market through dedicated training programs (industry-specific, job-specific, and other specialized training);
5) increasing the employability of persons over the age of 30, particularly those belonging to groups facing the greatest difficulties in the labor market: individuals over 50, women (especially those returning to the workforce after a break for childbirth and child-rearing), the long-term unemployed, and low-skilled individuals;
6) assistance in enhancing the professional qualifications of unemployed persons and those at risk of unemployment;
7) creating opportunities for social and professional integration for individuals at risk of social exclusion through: psychological support, social and vocational education, and vocational activation;
8) conducting volunteer and training programs that facilitate the entry of socially excluded individuals into the labor market;
As previously mentioned, Darania places great emphasis on enhancing the qualifications of its employees; consequently, the company organizes internal training sessions designed to improve professional competencies and the quality of work performed. These sessions—which focus on delivering excellent customer service—are conducted by entities such as the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów (in collaboration with ECHOCAST project partners: the Malbork Castle Museum and the International Cultural Centre in Kraków) and Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. The training aims not only to refine the skills required for direct interaction with visitors to cultural institutions but also to ensure that service levels meet the standards deemed optimal within the framework of this international project.

Through such cooperation, we raise public awareness and increase the societal impact of our activities.
„Ognisko” Christian Association of People with Disabilities, Their Families, and Friends
Darania has established a partnership with the „Ognisko” Christian Association of People with Disabilities, Their Families, and Friends, based in Kraków at 21 Lubelska Street. One of the organization’s key activities is the vocational activation of people with disabilities using the supported employment model.
The collaboration between ChSON „Ognisko” and the company Darania provides services to individuals facing difficulties entering the labor market and maintaining employment. Both entities implement a comprehensive, five-stage supported employment model that includes various vocational activation activities for service beneficiaries.
During the first stage, the potential client is actively involved in a process that includes training on the essential information and skills needed to secure employment on the open labor market. This stage is crucial, as it allows for the proper preparation of individuals with disabilities for professional activity. Subsequently, the stages of creating a vocational profile and job searching involve analyzing the client’s skills and competencies, which are then utilized to prepare for employment. A clearly defined vocational profile serves as the foundation upon which the client can build their career path. Another key stage—directly linked to employer involvement—is the introduction of a Job Coach. Employment terms are established, and all options for supporting the individual with disabilities in the workplace are discussed. The final and most important stage of the supported employment model is support both within and outside the workplace. Acting as a job coach, Darania Sp. z o.o. helps individuals with disabilities master their duties and acclimate to the work environment. Practical Skills Training aims to enable individuals with disabilities to learn the actual tasks performed in various roles at the museum.
Thanks to the vocational activation process outlined above, people with disabilities gain the opportunity to find employment and become full participants in the labor market. This initiative benefits both the individuals involved and society as a whole. Participants secure stable employment that enables financial self-sufficiency, leading to greater independence and, consequently, improved self-esteem and confidence. Employment also fosters the development of professional skills and enhances career prospects for people with disabilities. Regarding societal benefits, the initiative raises awareness among those who interact with people with disabilities, fostering an understanding of their potential and professional capabilities. Furthermore, it helps prevent social exclusion among individuals with special needs by facilitating their active participation in both professional and social life.

Its projects aim to foster the social and professional activation of individuals with disabilities resulting from long-term mental illness, ultimately facilitating their entry into the labor market through the supported employment model.
